Fit4Life - Site Accessibility

The Fit4Life website has been designed with regard to the recommendations laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium Accessibility Initiative (WAI). In addition we have adopted a number of conventions as listed below:-

• For visitors using screen readers, there is a "Skip Navigation" link at the top of each page. A second set of navigation links relating to information about this site has been provided at the bottom of each page.
   
  
• The TAB sequence on each page follows the natural order of links.
   
  
• Access keys have not been provided as the argument about whether they conflict with settings on adaptive technology programmes has not been resolved. Read this discussion from WebAim.
   
  
• For visitors having an impairment of their vision, a text re-size facility has been added to the right hand column on each page. This allows visitors to select from Medium (M) to Extra Large (XXL) text and also to opt for a High Contrast colour scheme for the entire page. The whole feature may be accessed by clicking on "ACCESSIBILITY / HIDE".
   
  
• A "Print" facility has been provided at the right hand end of the bar beneath the main menu on each page. This has been configured so that a print of any page will display only the content in the main body of that page.
